Watching a PC-trained gamer play a first-person shooter with a console controller for the first time is a bit like watching a fish trying to ride a bicycle. GamesterΓÇÖs FPS Master tries to solve this problem by creating a controller designed specifically with shooters in mind. The FPS Master looks like two guns welded together with an LCD screen in the centre. The idea is that you never need to take your fingers off the analogue controls, making it easier to look around and strafe ΓÇô key functions in a shooter. In practice, getting used to the FPS Master takes some unlearning, though once youΓÇÖre familiar with it, games such as Halo do become easier to control. It is an interesting concept, but you may want to keep the receipt just in case its idiosyncrasies prove too much.
